Joshua Kight was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1954 to a blue-collar family of storytellers and jokesters. He has a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Texas at Austin. Josh has been teaching, painting, and writing poetry ever since. Josh has had shows at Kilgore College and at several places in Houston, Dallas, and Austin. He recently showed up with an Austin-based printmaking group called Aesop’s in Rhode Island. He has published poems in “White Pelican Review”, ” Third Wednesday”, “Epiphany “, and “Muse” among others. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Heather. His 4 children are grown and functional.
