Ray is an abstract artist with 30+ years of experience. Born on August 4, 1972, in Palestine, TX, Dunlap grew up in East Texas and has also lived in Guam and Japan for 18 years. Ray has taught for the Golden Artist’s program. He works with acrylic, clay, and wood to create art inspired by folk culture, drawing on his interpretations. Ray has shown in museums and galleries in the USA, Japan, and Korea. He has received awards from the Holbiens Exhibition, the Japan Art Association, and first place in the Charcoal East Texas competition.
Ray’s style invokes a reaction to inspiration and controlled chaos. He likes to take the viewer on an uplifting journey adventure. He shares personal stories through his work.
